At Brightside Preschool, our team is at the heart of everything we do. We are passionate about creating a nurturing, inspiring environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Through meaningful partnerships with parents and carers, we work together to support each child’s individual journey, ensuring they are given every opportunity to grow in confidence and reach their full potential.

Ami - Preschool Manager
Designated Safeguarding Lead

Ami is the Preschool Manager and has worked with children for over 23 years. Ami and Alison (our Director) have worked together several times throughout their careers and Ami is looking forward to taking the lead at Brightside Preschool, Hertford.

Ami has a Foundation Degree in Early Years, in addition to her Level 3 qualification in childcare and Education.

She has an Enhanced DBS, and has taken part in many short courses including Food Hygiene level 2, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding training.

Ami enjoys getting messy with the children, offering sensory experiences to explore different textures and smells. Her favourite book is 'Super Potato' which she spends a lot of time reading to her son.

Ami is also a Mum to 4 children.

Alison - Preschool Director
Designated Safeguarding Lead

Alison is the Preschool Director and has worked with children for over 25 years. She founded Brightside Preschool in 2023 and is excited to be expanding into Hertford from September 2026.

Alison has a Foundation Degree in Early Years, in addition to her level 3 qualification - Btec National Diploma in Childhood Studies.

She has an Enhanced DBS, as well as Paediatric First Aid training, Food Hygiene level 2 and Safeguarding training.

Alison enjoys sharing stories with children and her favourite book is 'We're going on a bear hunt'. Alison loves to cook with children, baking cakes or making play dough.

Alison also has 3 children of her own.

Preschool Practitioner

We are looking for a Level 3 Practitioner to join our new preschool based at Hollybush Primary School in Hertford from September 2026.
